The Delhi High Court has ordered that it will hear the petition of WhatsApp and Facebook app on 27/8/21. The Central Government recently executes new IT rule for social media app. The WhatsApp had recently moved to the Delhi High Court, challenging the Central Government. According to the rules, it is very important (key) for social media app establishment to first let out the identity (specification) of the sender of the message. 

It will need a “Trace” to detect the beginning or start of specific messages sent on both these platforms.The WhatsApp has recently challenged the new social media app rules of the Central Government in the Delhi High Court. It is necessary for the message service to find out who started a message. The agency said that the company’s rules regarding ‘tracking’ of chats are an infraction of the right to privacy, and it is “banned”.

The agency says that if we keep an eye on the chat of any person, then it is similar to asking us to keep the fingerprint of every message sent on WhatsApp. This will break the end to encryption and wear away people’s right to privacy. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta on behalf of the Center said that he is in some problems, so the hearing should be delay for a few days.  

The superior advocate Harish Salve on behalf of WhatsApp and Mukul Rohatgi on behalf of Facebook have not opposed Mehta’s request, after which the date of hearing had been fixed on 27/8/21.
